MINISTRIES AT NORTHMINSTER
With open hearts and open minds, we seek to do life together. We ask questions, explore our faith, and trust in Christ. We are an inclusive community of believers committed to justice, mercy, and love. We worship with creativity and imagination, keeping an eye open for the new things God is doing in our midst. You're invited to join us in our journey!
MUSIC MINISTRY
Northminster’s Music Ministry is only possible with the dedication of the folks who come to rehearsals and worship services each week. This Summer, singers are invited to meet in the choir room at 9:30am to prepare music leadership for the coming worship services.

GARDENS & GROUNDS
Our primary hope is that Northminster Presbyterian Church’s facilities and campus be used to help our community nourish their mind, body and spirit.
Community Garden - Our Community Garden is open to church and community members. Plots are available by request. Individual plots can be used for fruits, vegetables, herbs and flowers. Water is available and gardeners are asked to tend to their plots on their own time, respecting the space around plots and other individual plots around them.
Memorial Garden - Volunteers provide wonderful care of our memorial garden, caring for our vegetation and keeping our memorial space beautiful for families and loved ones. Memorial plaques may be requested by contacting the church office for our Memorial Garden policies and procedures.
Building and grounds use requests - Download a Building & Grounds Use Request Here. The physical facilities and resources of Northminster Presbyterian Church are for the use of the ministry and mission of Northminster Presbyterian Church. Decisions about the use of church facilities shall be guided by the principle stated above as well as the principle of responsible stewardship of the assets of the church.

JUSTICE & MISSION
Northminster participates in mission both locally and globally. We strive to serve our community by following the words of Micah 6:8- What does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God? We regularly work with the Hickory Soup Kitchen, Cooperative Christian Ministry, Meal on Wheels, Habitat for Humanity, and other organizations to care for our community.
Northminster values radical hospitality. Through our partnership with the Catawba Valley Interfaith Council and More Light Presbyterians, we seek to live out God's will to welcome all. In the summer of 2016, a group from Northminster traveled to Washington DC to participate in an interfaith relations trip with The Pilgrimage organization. They worshipped with those from other faiths, learned about our commonalities and our differences, and served the DC community through service projects.

EDUCATION & FAMILIES

At Northminster, we view Christian education as an opportunity to explore our faith together in a nurturing community of believers. In Christ, we open our minds and hearts to the important tasks of learning, not only about God, but also who God is – to us, with us, for us.
